Scott has lived in the Cowley ward since 2014 and has played an active role in the community. In 2018, Scott founded Oxfordshire Liveable Streets, which helped pave the way for low-traffic neighbourhoods (LTNs) in the Cowley Ward and elsewhere. In 2017, Scott played a key role in the campaign to create “Flo’s” in Florence Park, became a founding trustee and was until 2020 its Treasurer. Flo’s houses a nursery school, a team of NHS midwives, meeting-room space, refill centre and a much-loved cafe. From 2016-2019, Scott was Treasurer of the Florence Park Community Association. During this time, the association opened membership to a larger area of the Cowley ward and began to offer more resources to the local community, including favourites such as the Over-60s Lunch Club, Baby and Toddler Group, and more. Scott teaches economics at Hertford College, Oxford. He and his wife Katie have two children who attend local schools.
