Calum Miller

I am standing to be your local MP in the new parliamentary constituency of Bicester and Woodstock. The vote will be a two-horse race between the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives. Voters have an amazing opportunity to choose a fresh start after years of Conservative misrule. It would be an honour to serve the community in which I live.

The Conservatives had failed the NHS. Waiting lists are too long, health indicators are going backwards and staff are demoralised. Dentistry is in crisis with many unable to access services

I will be a strong, local voice for our community

I am standing to be the local, Liberal Democrat MP for the new constituency of Bicester and Woodstock. This is a wonderful community of ordinary people who are capable of extraordinary things. We face challenges but we can meet them. We are held back by a government that is out of touch and out of ideas.

This is my community

I have lived in the constituency for 11 years and am committed to local action. My kids have grown up here, attending our village primary school and Gosford Hill School in Kidlington. I volunteer locally as a junior rugby coach and as a school governor. That experience led me to stand as a local candidate and it has been a privilege to represent my community as the county councillor for Otmoor since 2021. I want to represent people here because this constituency is my home.

I have the experience and skills to be an effective champion for our area

As a civil servant, I served under Labour, Conservative and Lib Dem ministers. They trusted me to lead international negotiations for the UK, securing agreement from other countries to proposals that the UK had put forward. As a county councillor, I have been an effective representative for residents in Bicester, Ambrosden and the Otmoor villages. I know how national and local government works and how to get things done for residents.
