Olly's priorities for Didcot & Wantage
A Fair Deal for the NHS
The Conservatives have failed the NHS. Waiting lists are too long, health indicators are going backwards and staff are demoralised. Dentistry is in crisis with many unable to access services.
A Fair Deal for the Cost of Living Crisis
Across Oxfordshire, people are struggling with rising costs from basic food to rent and mortgages. Bad decisions by the Conservatives have made this far worse.
A Fair Deal on Clean Water
Thames Water routinely allows sewage to flow into our rivers. The Conservative Government has failed to protect the environment or insist on investment. Customers shouldn't have to pay for failure.
Olly Glover was elected in 2024 to represent the Didcot and Wantage constituency, and has been a very active Member of Parliament.
Olly has been leading a number of local campaigns; working to promote the need for a new rail station at Grove, ensuring the Integrate Care Board provides a new GP Surgery on Great Western Park, bringing stakeholders together to tackle flooding, and raising the profile of our growing science and space sector alongside small and local businesses.
Before becoming an MP, Olly had a career in public service in operational jobs on the railway and volunteered as a visitor to people living with motor neurone disease. Having also served as a councillor on Didcot Town Council and Milton Parish Council, Olly is well-connected in the community, understands local people's needs, frustrations, and aims, and aims to address them.
As well as championing local people and their needs, Olly is the Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Transport, a member of the Transport Select committee and is Vice-Chair of the APPGs for cycling and walking as well as MND. Olly is currently President of Liberal Democrats for Electoral Reform, campaigning to restore trust in the political system so people feel heard.
