Take Thames Water out of Private Control

Thames Water recently hiked water bills by a third, piling on pressure to households at a time when living costs are increasing.

Despite the bill increases, Thames Water are still dumping raw sewage into our local rivers.

Residents in Henley & Thame have had enough, with 474 survey respondents saying that that are concerned about sewage in our rivers.

The Liberal Democrats are demanding a water system that works for the people and our planet - not polluters and big bosses who just want to line their pockets with public money.

Freddie van Mierlo MP said:

“Labour's plan to allow water bills to rise above inflation means we will all be paying for Thames Water's failures."

“We deserve clean water, fair pricking, and a system that serves the public, not private profit.”

Take Thames Water out of private control

We, the undersigned, call on the Labour Government to take Thames Water out of private control in order to create a fairer water system that works for the people and our planet.
