Calum was elected as Member of Parliament for the new constituency of Bicester and Woodstock in July 2024. He is honoured to serve the community in which he has lived in for over 13 years with his family. As our representative in Westminster, Calum brings the stories of local people to Government, securing meetings for residents with ministers, and campaigning on the issues that matter to you. Calum is also the Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Foreign Affairs, leading the party policy on important international topics, from Israel-Gaza, war in Iran, and our relationship with Europe.
Before being an MP, Calum worked as a senior civil servant and led international negotiations, and served his local community first as a school governor and then as a county councillor. He also continues to volunteer as a junior rugby coach in his community.
