It's time for action on sewage dumping

Sign Charlie's Petition below:

Local Lib Dem candidate for parliament, Charlie Maynard, is campaigning for Thames Water to stop hiking our bills to more than £735 a year by 2030, an increase of over 60%...

...This is despite a recent announcement by the Consumer Council for Water (CCW) which labelled TW as being a ‘standout poor performer’. TW was also the only water company in the entire country to be given a rating of ‘poor’ for both the number of complaints and their handling of complaints.

Shareholders have profited enormously for years, ramping up debt and paying out massive dividends. The regulators have been asleep on the job letting this happen and turning a blind eye to the rampant pollution. The Conservatives now want residents to pay to fix the problem rather than Thames Water who caused the problem in the first place.

We need effective regulators who can quickly levy large fines and who can prevent water companies taking us all for a ride. We need to kick out this government which repeatedly sides with the water companies rather than with the community and the environment.

Our Voice for the environment
We the undersigned:

- Call on the government to get Thames Water to rethink the price hike.

- Call on investment in our existing sewage works, and a “Sewage Tax” on their profits.

- Want changes in law from the government to prevent this happening again!

Stop Thames Water's unjustified price hike

I/we the undersigned call on Thames Water to rethink the unjustified price hike.
