Layla Moran MP

Working hard for Oxford West and Abingdon

Layla Moran statement on birth of first child

Layla Moran MP is delighted to announce the birth of her first child with her partner Rosy Cobb. The baby was born at the John Radcliffe Hospital and is doing very well.

Layla will be taking parental leave for approximately five months. During this time her office remains open for all casework and a proxy vote will be in place to ensure Oxford West and Abingdon constituents are represented in parliament. The Health and Social Care Select Committee will be ably shepherded by Paulette Hamilton MP, the Vice-Chair of the committee, to whom Layla is extremely grateful.

Layla said: “In this moment of joy for our family I want to thank the NHS staff who are taking such good care of us. I also want to thank in advance my amazing parliamentary and campaigns staff, the clerks of the select committee and my fellow MPs for supporting me in taking parental leave. Finally, thanks to those who have sent their good wishes. We feel blessed indeed.”
