Freddie van Mierlo, MP for Henley and Thame is announcing The Taste of Oxfordshire, a special Westminster event taking place on 21st January 2026 in the Jubilee Room, highlighting the county’s exceptional food and drink producers.

This exciting event is co-organised by Freddie van Mierlo, alongside fellow Liberal Democrat MPs from across Oxfordshire: Layla Moran, Olly Glover, Charlie Maynard, and Calum Miller. It will offer a unique platform for local producers to present their exceptional products directly to Members of Parliament, Lords, Westminster colleagues, and influential policy-makers.

More than just a tasting event, The Taste of Oxfordshire will also serve as a space for dialogue about the challenges and opportunities facing small and medium-sized food and drink businesses – from supply chain issues and sustainability to support for rural enterprise and innovation.

Confirmed producers attending so far include:

  • Tutu Chocolates
  • Imma The Bakery
  • Waste2Taste
  • Tap Social Movement
  • Hendred Vineyard
  • The Sky Wave Distilling Company
  • Dark Horse Roastery

This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the best of Oxfordshire’s thriving food and drink sector, from artisan bakers and ethical chocolatiers to community-led breweries and local vineyards.

Commenting on the event, Freddie van Mierlo MP said:
“Oxfordshire is home to some of the most exciting and high-quality food and drink producers in the country. The Taste of Oxfordshire is a fantastic opportunity to showcase their work to Westminster, not just to celebrate their success, but to ensure their voices are heard on the issues that matter to them. I'm proud to be championing local businesses and inviting colleagues from across Parliament to experience the best our county has to offer.”

Calum Miller MP added:

“I am really pleased that the prize-winning Sky Wave Distilling Company from my constituency will be at the Taste of Oxfordshire, showcasing the quality and ambition of our local producers. Oxfordshire is rightly proud of our outstanding food and drink businesses, who develop delicious products and create jobs and opportunities as they grow.

As well as enjoying their products, a showcase in Westminster is a chance to make the case for the government to get behind these brilliant small businesses. I hope Ministers will also come and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat and see discuss how they can support this important sector."
