Local MP Freddie van Mierlo welcomed Liberal Democrat Leader Ed Davey MP to Thame last week to show support for the long-running campaign to deliver the Thame to Haddenham Greenway, a safe, green walking and cycling route that would connect Thame with Haddenham & Thame Parkway Station.

Accompanied by the Mayor of Thame and local councillors, Freddie and Ed cycled a stretch of the Phoenix Trail, offering a glimpse of what the Greenway could become and the lasting benefits it could bring to the local area. The visit also included a stop at Thame Cycles, where they were given a tour of the workshop and shown some of the work being done there.

Commenting on the visit, Freddie van Mierlo said:

“The Greenway would transform how people travel between Thame and Haddenham, offering a safe, car-free route to the station and encouraging greener, healthier transport. I was proud to show Ed what it could mean for our community and how much local support there is to make it happen.”
