We need a local business support fund!

Layla Moran is calling on the Minister at the Department for Transport to set up a Business Support Fund to give local businesses much needed financial support to mitigate the impact of the Botley Road closure.

Layla recently met with several local businesses along Botley Road/in West Oxford and Botley to understand the issues they are facing from the extension of the road closure due to the Network Rail works.

“Local business owners tell me they are experiencing up to 60% drop in income, this is devastating for them. For small independent businesses this is their livelihood in jeopardy. This drop in revenue is having huge financial impact, that’s why the government need to act now,” said Layla Moran.
