Make the A417 Safer Between Didcot and Wantage

The A417 between Wantage and Didcot has become increasingly unsafe and congested. With narrow road sections and no dedicated space for cyclists, both drivers and cyclists face unnecessary risks every day as traffic is forced to slow and bottleneck.

Olly Glover MP and local Liberal Democrats are calling for essential safety upgrades to the A417 — including the creation of a dedicated cycle lane to separate bikes from cars, reduce dangerous overtaking, and improve overall traffic flow.

A properly designed cycle lane would not only protect cyclists but also ease pressure on motorists, reduce bottlenecks, and help keep the road moving during the busiest times of the day. These upgrades are vital to ensure that residents can travel safely and efficiently between our towns.

The people who rely on the A417 deserve a road that's safe. Sign our petition below and join our call for these safety improvements.

Make our roads safer

I support Olly Glover’s campaign to upgrade the A417 between Wantage and Didcot.
